| Help Habitat Shred Identity Theft, Win a Laptop! |

 Join us for Benefit Community Shred Event
Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are teaming up to stop identity theft and safely recycle electronics at Benefit Community Shred Event. Shredding company PROSHRED and electronics recycling expert Techno+Rescue will help dispose of the many things one can't just throw in the garbage.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, in the parking lot beside the Habitat Home Supply store at JJ's Convenience Store, 4015 S. Taft Hill Road. A Fort Collins police officer and PROSHRED employees will be present to destroy personal documents in a secure, onsite, mobile shredder. There will be a $5 charge for each paper grocery size bag of documents.
Techno+Rescue will also be present to recycle and properly dispose of electronics. Electronics accepted: printers, computers, monitors, television, and other electronics. A charge ranging from $1 to $20 is required depending on the type of unit being recycled.
PROSHRED and Techno+Rescue will be giving away a free laptop at the event. Everyone who drops off an item to be recycled will get a numbered ticket that enters them into the raffle. The drawing will take place at the end of the event. You do not need to be present to win.
Proceeds from Benefit Community Shred Event will go to the Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity Home being built this spring in Fort Collins.
