Community donations sustain our store. If you are interested in donating your stuff, please follow the donation guidelines below. The Habitat Home Supply Store is not a thrift store. We are a "restore" and concentrate our efforts on keeping items out of the landfill. The store primarily sells used vehicles, building materials, furniture and applicances. Check out our Items for Sale page to see new and exciting stuff.
DONATION GUIDELINES
The following information is meant to serve as a general guide for donors. Acceptable items are subject to frequent change due to space limitations.
To schedule a pick-up please call Lynne Garrett, Donation Coordinator, at (970) 223-9909 x205 if you have any questions about your donation items. .
Remember- all donations to the Habitat Home Supply Store are tax-deductible!

APPLIANCES
- Must be clean and in 100% working condition.
- Must have all knobs, trays, burners, shelves, etc.
- Refrigerators must be working with refundable deposit.
- Water heaters must be 1 year old or newer.
- Diswashers must be new or less than 6 months old.
VEHICLES -- CARS, TRUCKS, VANS
- Must have clear title
- Must be in running condition or repaired for under $500
- Preferably brought to the store. We'll give you a ride home!
FURNITURE
- Must be free of rips, tears, stains pet damage and general wear spots.
- Must be in overall good condition and need no repair.
BUILDING MATERIALS
Cabinets & Countertops
- Only complete cabinets with all drawers.
- We do not accept cabinet drawers by themselves.
- Must be free of rot and in usable condition.
Doors
- Must be in good condition.
- Must not have rot, cracks, or separating.
- Sliding glass doors - New Only
Electrical Fixtures
- We accept electrical parts, lights, wire and hardware associated with electrical wiring.
- Only accept working light fixtures on case by case basis.
- Preferably clean and not rusty.
- No florescent lights or bulbs.
Hardware
- We accept hardware for doors, cabinets, etc.
- Must be in good condition and not rusty.
- Preferably separated by type/style.
Lumber, Plywood, Siding, Trim
- We accept full and half sheets of plywood
- Lumber must be in lengths of 6 ft or longer.
- Trim in lenghts of 7 ft or longer
- Must be free of rot, nails, and screws.
Plumbing Fixtures
- Should be clean and in usable condition.
- Toilets must include a lid for the tank.
Roofing
- Shingles must be in complete packages.
- Metal roofing in full lengths if possible.
- Most donations of roofing materials are accepted on a case by case basis.
Tile
- We accept vinyl and ceramic tile, unused or clean.
- Any amount is accepted.
Windows
- No cracked or missing window panes.
- Double pane windows only with few exceptions
- Double pane wood windows in need of paint are usually accepted.
- Ask about window hardware if appropriate.
- Window sashes accepted.
ITEMS NOT WE ARE TAKING AT THIS TIME:
Due to limited space, we are unable to accept the following items at this time. Please check back periodically as our stock and donation needs change frequently.

- Built-in Ovens- Cook tops
- Gas Dryers
- Older Microwave ovens
- Old used Range Hoods
BUILDING MATERIALS
- Bath tubs unless new or older claw-foot style
- Carpeting
- Doors- Hollow core (some exceptions)
- Insulation- Loose fiberglass-Full rolls are fine
- Paint in less than full containers-LATEX ONLY accepted
- Plywood- less than half-sheets
- Windows
- sliding without frames
- Single pane (unless exceptional)
FURNITURE
- Beds
- Large office desks
- Waterbeds
OTHER
- Computers
